Sustainability and Environmental Policy

Although a small company, we are committed to make sustainability a core part of the way we conduct ourselves and our business. We accept and embrace our social responsibility as members of business and social communities. We are committed to adopt environmental best practice, to conserve resources and prevent pollution whilst complying with relevant legislation.

Firstly our focus is on our use of energy, water and our management of waste. In particular we are committed to using fewer resources involving paper, due to its water and forestry products. Our approach is to reduce paper-use, without a reduction in professionalism, communication or legal requirements. We are very aware of the use of water in the paper-making process, and in particular:

1 ream of paper = 6% of a tree and 5.4kg CO2 in the atmosphere
3 sheets of A4 paper = 1 litre of water

Our policy when using paper is to use paper that is from renewable and recyclable products which are made from wood grown in sustainable forests.

Our commitment is demonstrated by:

  • Develop and implement an appropriate Environmental Management System that addresses the specifications of the International Standard 14001,
    • Comply with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations, and other initiatives to which we subscribe;
    • Incorporate environmental better practice into our core business plans and management processes;
    • Minimise negative impacts we may have on the environment and implement pollution prevention practices through the efficient use of resources, and the reduction of emissions and waste;
  • Continually improve its business performance and conduct its operations in an environmentally responsible manner.
  • Communicating openly our policy and objectives to our employees, clients, contractors, and the public in order to enhance their awareness of our ongoing commitment to responsible environmental management
  • Providing appropriate training and resources to our employees to fulfil our environmental objectives and obligations
  • Creating social engagement opportunities that provide benefit to our industry and our community as a whole.

As a team, we are committed to reviewing our approaches at least annually, and developing a measurable approach for our business.
